The House recently passed a budget resolution that included $880 billion in cuts to the Medicaid program. As the country’s single largest public health plan, Medicaid accounts for $1 of every $5 spent on health care and is responsible for providing essential healthcare coverage for 83 million Americans.
These cuts would be catastrophic for our nation’s most vulnerable populations, including low-income individuals and families, pregnant people, elderly adults, and individuals with disabilities, all populations where at least one in four adults are living with rheumatic disease.
Congress needs to hear from you about how cuts to Medicaid will impact your practice and patients. Take a moment to contact your lawmakers and urge them to protect Medicaid today!
